Disaster Preparedness

Depending on the type of disaster, City, State and Federal agencies may be called on to secure life and property, and return services to citizens.  However, all residents need to understand that during a major disaster, emergency services may be overwhelmed and it might be several days before basic services are restored.  All residents should be prepared to be self-sufficient for up to 72 hours after the occurrence of a major disaster.  The City has prepared information on Disaster Preparedness.
