CITY COMMISSIONS

Vacaville has several advisory groups that serve the City Council. These commissions are composed of residents appointed by the Council.  Most of the actions taken by a commission are recommendations to the City Council for further consideration and action.

If you would like to be considered to be on a Commission, please submit the Commission Application.

The Commissions serving the City Council are:

The Commission on Aging. Meets at 1:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held at City Hall in the City Council Chambers. Call (707) 449-5632. See listing of Commissioners.

The Community Services Commission. Meets at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month. A subcommittee of the Commission, the Arts Advisory Committee, meets at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month. Call (707) 449-5658. The Planning Commission. Meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Meetings are held at City Hall in the City Council Chambers. Call (707) 449-5140. See listing of Commissioners.

The Housing and Redevelopment Commission. Meets at 5:45 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held at City Hall in Conference Room A/B. Call (707) 449-5660. See listing of Commissioners.

The Planning Commission and Commission on Aging meetings are televised live on Channel 26 and are rerun later in the week.
