ADA COMMITTEES 


ADA Advisory Committee: 

The ADA Advisory Committee was reinstated in August 2004 to facilitate work on the self-evaluation and transition plan.  Comprised of Vacaville residents, City employees, and representatives from the business community, the Committee’s responsibilities also include prioritizing projects, education, and training.  The Committee serves as a liaison between the City and the disabled community living and doing business in the city of Vacaville.

ADA Advisory Committee meetings are held monthly on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Meetings are open to the public, although public comment will be allowed at the discretion of the facilitator.

 

 

City ADA Committee:

The City ADA Committee was formed in September 2004 to enable all City departments to participate in the Self Evaluation and serve as liaisons between their respective departments and the ADA Office to improve communications on ADA topics, to regularly identify and discuss access issues, and to assist with departmental training related to ADA.  With at least one representative from each department, committee members meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 at City Hall.  As of May 2006, members of the Committee include:
